The 2009 Ladies Golf Classic moves to Bamm Hollow Country Club on April 27.
Women of all levels are encouraged to come and play. As a change from last year's Classic, a 27-hole course will be used and the event will conform to a stricter handicap requirement for those playing the 18-hole tournament. At the same time, the 9-hole format will offer greater fun for those who enjoy the clinic and scramble. For those who have never, or seldom, golfed, the clinic and introduction to the game offers an opportunity in a non-threatening way for women to see what the excitement is all about.
The 18-hole tournament will begin at 8 a.m.; the clinic and 9-hole scramble will begin at 9 a.m.; and the New to Golf Clinic will begin at 10:30 a.m. A luncheon, raffle and fashion show will follow at 12:30 p.m.
The event benefits one of New Jersey's oldest and most treasured theaters. Constructed in 1926, this historic gem is located on Monmouth Street in Red Bank. Throughout the years, generous benefactors have come forth to support and maintain this historic masterpiece.
